A search for something
that felt like home.
Rooted in Indian craft, Bichhavans began with a love
for beautiful fabrics, thoughtful details and
the feeling of home.
THE BEGINNING
It started
personally.
I’m Swati, founder of Bichhavans. With a background in fashion design, I’ve always
loved colour, fabrics and patterns.
One Diwali, while looking for bedsheets for our home, I found plenty of options but nothing that felt truly rooted in the India I knew. I wanted something beautiful, breathable and connected to the homes we grew up in.
As a designer and a mother, comfort mattered just as much as appearance. I wanted fabrics that felt gentle, breathable and made for everyday living.
That search became the beginning of Bichhavans.

WHAT'S IN A NAME?
Bichhavans
The name Bichhavans comes from my childhood. I grew up hearing my grandmother use this word as she lovingly cared for bedsheets, mats and everyday household linen.
It stayed with mea simple word carrying memories of home, care and the comfort of things thoughtfully chosen.
When it was time to name the brand, Bichhavans felt like home.
